This week I learned how to make a shooter sandwich. Whitney Houston died. People reblogged Sam Moss, The grammy's aired, and I tried Chocovine for the first time.

Scott McCloud pointed me to these animated comic book covers on Kerry Callen's Blog. This game development documentary is just one of the amazing things happening at Double Fine Studios.

Robin McConnell wrote about a fundraiser to support Gary Friedrich and help pay the legal fees he is facing at the hands of Marvel.

I have to admit: I slept in this weekend, just as I slept in most of this week. It is now 11:04 PM, and we're on the eve of the last week of September. It has been fall for a few days now, and here I am eating ice cream so close to midnight. My laundry is tumbling ever drier, and the hum of my computer's case fans is continually grating on my nerves. I want nothing more than to walk to the other room and lay down and in the silence read one of the excellent books on my list of to-reads, but in the back of my mind I know there is an even larger queue of comics, videos, books, and music right here on the magic noisy box. And then there is constant feed of various social networking sites. Through the week I probably lose 20-30 hours catching up with all the feeds, and it is quite literally exhausting. So there is my productivity problem in a nutshell.

This is entirely appropriate.

My brain just doesn't do what it's supposed to do anymore. Sometimes I wonder if it ever did. I'd really like to be doing more with my time, but I keep getting into these weird trances. I'm stagnant. That's what it is. Also I'm always a hair away from being broke, which sucks. Dear October, please bring me some very amazing, awesome, splendid, good luck, and a renewed spirit to keep the momentum going. Please great spirit in the air, creator, noble sentient energy from beyond the heavens, lend a part of your power into my brain, and let me overcome these minor hurdles. It's time to wake up and stop fumbling.

So I started reading Saint Young Men. It's a little strange and some of the jokes are lost on me, but it's entertaining. Thanks to Natalie Nourigat for bringing it to my attention (via Between the Gears). Emerald City Comic Con was this weekend and I missed it owing to being chained to the Valley of Ash. I'm desperately wanting to leave this place, but where to build a new nest and how?

Tardy in the USA

It cracks me up how well this goes together. Reminds me of 90's era Mariah Carrey R&B/Rap crossovers.

So a happy Sunday to everybody. I'm going to really have to eat my hat on this one. I got my sleeping cycle really mixed up Saturday and made two failed attempts to stay up late enought to correct them. Add to that I am physically sore and exhausted from a new temp job and you have the scheduling disaster that is my life this weekend. 5pm and I haven't bought my groceries, done my laundry, nor scribed the SAN you all wait so patiently through the week for!

So bear with me while I try to scrawl something passable.

This first is a preview of an illo I like to call Nicodemons, chronicling the joyously satiated goblins that come with a cigarette habit.
